Our years of thinking about circumnavigating are starting to become a reality in the immediate future. Our new Nordhavn 55 (N55-04) is scheduled to ship out of China this week with an anticipated commissioning in Florida later this year. "SALTY DAWG" will be our full time home for my 1st Mate Lowie and our two dogs-Pretzel and Danforth. Pretzels have salt on them--therefore Pretzel is the namesake of our boat and Danforth will be our anchor as we travel the world. We are actively soliciting an experienced offshore cruiser or couple to spend the spring-summer-fall of 2006 with us on a shakedown cruise from Florida to Bermuda to the Canadian Maritimes then back down the East coast with the hope of departing South to the Carribean after hurricane season 2006.
