Sherwood Island SP-Blue Grosbeak, Dickcissel, YB Chat, etc.

10/7-Sherwood Island SP with Jim Dugan(1:30-4:30PM)

    BLUE GROSBEAK seen in the construction storage area in the northwest corner feeding on foxtail type grass.



    DICKCISSEL and YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT seen again in the brushy dump area at the end of the parking lot on the East 

      Beach side of the park.We estimate seeing 50+ Monarch Butterflies in this same area as well.

    

    Also seen,4-5 EASTERN PHOEBE,2 HERMIT THRUSH,1 MAGNOLIA WARBLER,many YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and 

      NORTHERN FLICKERS



    3 AMERICAN WIGEON seen on the Mill Pond at the park entrance.



    5 SNOWY EGRETS and 4 GREAT EGRETS seen on the Mill Pond from the veiwing platform.



    1 AMERICAN KESTREL seen on the west side.
