Another option is to use filters in your mail reader.  Most e-mail readers
these days allow you to create a filter and route email directly to specific
folders rather than your inbox and will show you how many unread messages in
each folder.  e.g. I have a filter that says all email with a "To:" address =
power-catamaran@lists.samurai.com goes to my PowerCat folder.

It doesn't
clog up my inbox, I can read them when I get a chance and keep them around or
delete them without intermingling them with business and family email.

Just a
thought....

All
hands--

Is the occasional volume of email on our list a pain in the neck for
you? The digest option might be the solution.

The digest groups all emails of
the day in one longer message. It
eliminates the clutter in your in-box and
enables you to scan and
read only what interests you. You can still post
messages when you
wish. In other words, the digest lets you stay informed and
in touch
without the hassles of a lot of individual emails.

For people who
post messages regularly, the digest can be cumbersome
and is not recommended,
but if you never or hardly ever post a
message yourself, the digest is a
sweet way to stay informed.

If you'd like to try the digest, click here

for you.
