Solicitor In Neighboorhood

Did anyone experience an individual at their door saying they are selling Pest Control yesterday?
Yesterday around 6:45pm, during the thunderstorm I had a gentleman come to my door wearing black shorts, and white windbreaker holding an iPad. The gentleman (apprx 25) rang my doorbell, and thinking it was a fellow neighbor answered, however my 100Lb German Shepherd felt otherwise. When I answered the door, he didn't introduce himself, he asked for a paper towel for his iPad. I asked why was he here, and what did he want - his response was "Are you interested in Pest Control" - I said No, my husband handels that and shut and locked the door.
The man proceeded to stay on my porch for a few minutes as my dog stared at him.
I went on to Nextdoor this morning and there is a large list of complaints in other gated communities around us of this same occurrence in the last 24 hours.

Yes, we did as well. He was wearing nothing identifying his business and I did not answer but spoke to him through our doorbell and told him the same thing but he proceeded to continue. Definitely makes me uncomfortable when I’m home alone with the kids and it happens every couple of months.

Yes same for me, however it was in the afternoon around 1:30. The guy I talked to was wearing black shorts, black shirt and black hat. Both shirt and hat said Aptive on them and he said he was with Aptive Environmental pest control and his name was Jeremiah. I talked to him for a couple minutes then just had to interrupt him and say my husband handles all that and we already use someone. He continued to try and convince me saying they can come out tomorrow and give half off blah blah blah. I again said I don't handle that goodbye. So annoying! Also home alone with my kiddos and definitely makes me uncomfortable. Thank goodness for 3 big dogs all barking and growling through the door, lol. Thank You,Amanda Thelemann

This is disturbing that all three of us were home alone with our kids when this happened yesterday. I'm not one to be paranoid but it really hits a nerve when 3 moms are here having the same experience.

Just wanted to mention, Active Environmental is an actual pest control company.  I believe we used them about 4 or 5 years ago.

I talked to him. He seemed okay but a little persistent - hard seller.  But he left when I made it clear.  All I could think of was that he needed to be selling something/somewhere else😊

> Jennifer> _______________________________________________> Discussion mailing list -- discussion@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com> To unsubscribe send an email to discussion-leave@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com> > To manage your subscription to this list, or to unsubscribe, please visit:_______________________________________________Discussion mailing list -- discussion@lists.limestoneranchhoa.comTo unsubscribe send an email to discussion-leave@lists.limestoneranchhoa.comTo manage your subscription to this list, or to unsubscribe, please visit: > _______________________________________________ > Discussion mailing list -- discussion@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com > To unsubscribe send an email to discussion-leave@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com > > To manage your subscription to this list, or to unsubscribe, please visit: > > _______________________________________________ > Discussion mailing list -- discussion@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com > To unsubscribe send an email to discussion-leave@lists.limestoneranchhoa.com > > To manage your subscription to this list, or to unsubscribe, please visit:
