Long story short, the heavy snow load this past winter basically ruined the radome of my Furuno radar. It appears that insurance is going to cover the loss (minus the deductible). My question is this. Should I replace the old radar system with a conventional Furuno radar OR go to a Lowrance/Simrad 4G broadband radar? I am aware of the basic properties of broadband radar.
