Come Walk With Us...

Pleases join us tomorrow, Saturday, June 20th, for the Second Annual Salishan Summer Treasure Walk.  This year's theme is celebrating Salishan's rich history & cultural diversity...and the people who live, work, and serve in the community.  There is
no cost for this community event.

Register anytime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Family Investment Center parking lot, 1724 E. 44th Street (just east of Portland Ave.) for this free self-guided walk in New Salishan, East Tacoma.  The first hundred participants to complete the walk (about one mile in length) will receive a free t-shirt. Bicyclists are also welcome.

"Passport Stations" along the walk route will be highlighting five continents, First Creek & Swan Creek Park, and Salishan's history from 1945 - present.  And at the START/FINISH location, local agencies will have valuable information & handouts at the event's "Salishan Global Village".
