I know what the vase mode is (I have it in IdeaMaker), but with Jordan’s
suggestion I can set the thickness with more freedom starting from a
solid piece. It seems to function in IdeaMaker too (see second caption)
but I couldn’t manage to remove the additional thickness at some
positions (see what’s in orange in the picture).
By the way, Adrian, I have tested the last code you have posted and it
is indeed quite efficient both for preview and rendering.
