I have always enjoyed boats but didn't have much availability to them
due to the fact that I lived in Alabama.  A couple of years ago I
moved my family to Jacksonville, FL where we live close to the St.
Johns River and have become avid boaters on a smaller scale.  I have
always been intrigued by the Cats with their smooth ride and good
stability.  My wife and I are buying a 53' boat slip close to our
house and are going to buy a Power Cat to keep there.  We are looking
for something that will be good for cruising and for fishing.  I have
kids that are 11 and 8 so the boat has to be kid friendly, we hope to
use it like a floating condo taking it to different destinations.  I
was hoping to get some good information on the different Cats that
are available and might fit our needs.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard Power Catamaran List, Ernest!

I'm sure you'll get a number of recommendations after I post your
introduction to the List.

As you're talking cruising and living aboard with children, in
addition to fishing, it seems to me you're probably looking for a
power cat 30 feet and bigger--which means you have a great range of
choices.

I'll open the floor to suggestions from Listees.
