I trust you're well.  Today I'm celebrating Daniel Alexander Paynehttp://www.blackfacts.com/fact/ecb349ab-8248-48b3-92be-719bc9490dbf, sixth bishop of the American Methodist Episcopal Church. Payne was the first African American ordained by the Lutheran Church in 1837. In 1856, he founded Wilberforce University, where he became the first African-American president of a college in America.http://www.blackfacts.com/fact/ecb349ab-8248-48b3-92be-719bc9490dbf
