The home was purchased at the bottom of the market in late July, 2009 and was appraised by the lender at $240,000. It is a true 3BR 2 = BA home, not a cabin, with exterior cedar and stacked stone siding, circular front drive under chalet roof, oversized one-car garage, large deck with chalet roof on rear, and is located on top of a large hill with views of the lake and mountains. The home has new appliances, including range/oven, microwave, dishwasher and disposal; city water, oversized heat pump, stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, high ceilings with beams, a loft with = bath, and all solid cherry custom cabinetry, wood floors and doors. Depending on the boat make, year, equipment and value, I would allow up to $120,000 against the house and only a balance of $120,000 would have to be financed at todays low interest rates, or paid in cash, for a beautiful new mountain home. TN has no income tax and the property taxes are very low at $618 a year. Utilities are also low due to TVA. There is lake access and marinas nearby.
