Thanks Guys: Now I know what a speed seal is. We have Lehmans on board and they are exposed for easy service.  I was wondering why American Diesel did not suggest them. I have had no problem servicing the impellers under any sea conditions for .many years.. Regards Leonard Stern, INDIFFERENCE
