New Birding Walk at Clark's Creek Park
Saturday, April 19th, 8:30-10:30AM
2101 7th Ave SW, Puyallup, 98371

Join us for a new monthly birding walk at Clark's Creek Park! Led by Tahoma
Bird Alliance member and volunteer Caitlyn Cechetto, this walk will take
place every 3rd Saturday of the month.

Clark's Creek park is home to songbirds, water birds, and even a heron
rookery. Expect a 2 hour walk through riparian forest, starting at
Decoursey pond with a turnaround point at the rookery. Meet in the covered
area at the west side of Decoursey Pond Park. This walk follows
predominantly gravel and paved trails, with brief walks across grass and
dirt. The path is mostly flat, with a single steeper slope at the end. Park
bathrooms are available at the beginning, middle, and end of the route,
though there currently aren't any gender neutral bathrooms. Ample parking
is available in lots and on street. Newcomer friendly, first time birders
welcome!

About Caitlyn:

"I love birding! I haven't been doing it for as long as some of the folks
I've met, but I've been joining Tahoma Bird Alliance walks and going out on
my own regularly for about two years. I want to be a part of making birding
more accessible and inclusive to everyone. It's a beautiful way to connect
with the natural world and your local community, everyone should get to
experience that."
