Malcolm:
As you are the resident guru of catamaran design, when are you going to
put us out of our misery, and design a trailerable (26' x 8.5'), full
displacement, outboard (2 x 60hp) trawler cat that is not geared to fishing, but
geared to cruising at trawler cat speeds? Couldn't it have 2.5' to 3' hull beam,
draft of 2', wingdeck height of 2', queen berth and ensuite forward, with
dinette and galley in the cabin?
Why is this so difficult? If I can dream it and draw it, why can't a
professional designer put out something for those of us who want to cruise but
don't have $500,000? I don't want a sport fishing boat (Glacier) or a boat
that planes (Tomcat), but I'd like the displacement hulls of the Glacier and
the cabin space of the Tomcat.
Yours in frustration and hope,
Paul
