My suggestion would be start with visits to Manta and Endeavour - both within an hour's drive of Ft Myers. I suspect the Manta 44 or the Endeavour 44 might meet many of your criteria for a fraction of the cost (not to mention the hassle) of starting from scratch - unless this is something you enjoy.
