10/22 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center  9:40am-1PM.  sunny, high
tide-rising, 63F.
Beautiful morning at the Coastal Center-the marsh grass is golden now.  We
had many visitors admiring the marsh and our trails.
On the marsh:  1 Great Egret, 10 American Black ducks, 7 Black bellied
plovers, 5 D.C. Cormorants flew over, Ring bill and Herring gulls.
Grounds & feeders: 1 juvenile Yellow crowned night heron staring at me head
on, sitting in an evergreen, 1 White Crowned sparrow, 2 Song sparrows, 15
House sparrows, 6 White throated sparrows, 8 Mourning doves, 5 very vocal
Robins, 2 Northern Cardinals, 4 Blue Jays, 2 White breasted nuthatches, 3
Tufted Titmice, 8 House finches eating berries in one of the red cedars, 9
Yellow rumped warblers ( probably more), and about 200 Starlings on the
wires & in a puddle as I drove out.
Merlin picked up Red eyed vireo and Blue Grosbeak, but I didn't see them.
