The gull frenzy off Long Beach is getting underway. There were thousands of gulls feeding offshore, along with good numbers of the expected waterfowl mixed in. Mostly Ring-billed but at least one adult Iceland Gull, but probably two different individuals. One seemed to be white winged and the other gray winged, but they were pretty far out.

3/16/13 - Large number of Gulls west of Long Beach as seen with Patrick.
Hard to estimate these numbers. With the Gulls feeding on top of the water
were Brandt, Black Ducks, Common Goldeneye etc. Also, one adult Northern
Gannet resting on the water at the first jetty left of the entry toll booth.
Two American Oystercatchers continue at Milford Point.
