Jan Stout, NW Bellevue/Clyde Hill About an hour ago a man tried to get into our house, opened the garage door, went in, turn off our electricity, and try to house. He was challenged by our daughter who was here alone and left. She didn't think to call 911 she was so scared. We have called the non-emergency number and they are checking now. Just to reinforce, we had someone in our garage last week in a storage compartment that has a timed light. The light was on and stays on for an hour. I would estimate the person was in our garage at 6 pm. This is north vuecrest and our garage is not street facing. He had to walk behind our house. It was a pretty bold move at that time of day. We did not see a person, but this was around in the same timeframe that I drove into the drive.
We had items stolen out of an unlocked car a couple of months ago.
We are locking cars always, shutting the garage door always, and heightening other security measures.
