11/13/07 - From Maryanne and Dean Rupp:
Killingworth yard--3 PINE SISKINS

In the last 10 days we've been seeing a grackle invasion with daily vistis of flocks estimated to be several thousand birds  Earlier there were a few starlings mixed in (5-20) but yesterday and today there was a miniflock of at least 100 starlings.  Since starting the New Haven Bird Club feeder watch on 11/01, we have seen a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH and PURPLE FINCHES  as well as the PINE SISKINS at our feeders, none of which we saw last year.
