From Patrice Favreau:
03/11/11 - South Windsor, Donnelly Preserve West Road fields -- several AMERICAN WOODCOCK peenting & displaying. Peenting began 6PM & activity was still ongoing when I departed at 6:40PM. I'd estimate at least 6 birds. I also noted these birds do a little hiccup noise interspersed with their peenting & was able to visually confirm when one landed about 15' from me & I could watch the bill open for the peent then the breast & shoulder twitch with the hiccup.
