Visitors:
Thank you to all our visitors today. Thank you to Michelle, Bob, Mike, Noel
and Juliette for their help counting today.

Weather:
The weather today started out cloudy, cold and windy, but quickly turned
warm and pleasantly sunny. Wind was from the south all day, however we
still had a good amount of raptors.

Raptor Observations:
The majority of birds today were Turkey vultures today, coming overhead
from the east and far to the north. There were a handful of close red-tails
and a red-shoulder which flew very close to the tower. Kestrels were happy
to fly in the wind today, followed by many sharpies and a few harriers.

Non-raptor Observations:
When the clouds cleared and warmed up a bit, there were many waterfowl on
the marsh. Many, many coots and gadwalls, some pintails and wigeon. We were
very excited to see and hear a large group of horned lark fly over the
tower. Huge murmurations of starlings were flying over the marsh again
today. The trumpeter swan is still present too.

Predictions:
Tomorrow is Hawktober Fest! The wind will be southerly, however we still
should be seeing raptors in similar numbers to today. Come out to witness
October migration!
