Great morning at Goodbody Preserve - Sharon Land Trust (
https://ebird.org/hotspot/L22310067) in NW Litchfield County. 64 species in
1.5 hours, including 15 species of warbler.

We came seeking Grasshopper Sparrow which has been seen here in past years.
We did NOT see it, but the preserve has good grass with Bobolinks and
Eastern Meadowlarks, forest edge and then a loop trail through nice
woodland. So - a good mix. The Town of Sharon has some nice large grassy
meadows on private farm land which hold Bobolinks and meadowlarks early,
but there is a significant early hay season which occurs right now and
destroys the vast majority of this habitat. I have not looked into it but I
am hopeful that Sharon Land Trust is managing this site for grassland
birds. Right now it is in great shape, although surrounded by properties
that have been cut or are about to be.

Best to all,
