I usually have little to add to the many great suggestions always elicited
by this request.  Within the air and water draft limitations there are tons
of choices.

However, here's a question for the potential looper:  Do you think you will
keep the boat after the looping is done, or is this a single-trip deal?

Personally, if I were considering this as a one-time adventure, I'd be
looking for an affordable solution.  I'd of course look to safety as the
first criterion (I consider navigation electronics as part of safety), but
beyond that I would tend to avoid the Cadillacs of the trawler breed like
Grand Banks (even though I love mine) and Hatteras and go for a decent
"Taiwan trawler" or equivalent.
