Thanks for the "heads up" on Journey Cats. No, haven't heard of them, but I
think I probably have run across your boat on the PDQ forum. Mishigas.... a
34 right? My Admiral and I have met with Dick Tuschick twice in the last two
years.... last year we spend a night aboard his own 34. It was tight for me,
and you know, he's a little guy, so the bed wasn't quite enough either. It
didn't leave us with a very positive experience, I'm afraid. Still, the 34 is
very hard to turn away from in terms of what the package has to offer. We are
on-track to return to Miami this summer, and we might just go for a 34. I'm a
Mechanical Engineer (like Sno Dog) and I've enjoyed pestering Dick Tuschick
with my photo-shop renditions of pilothouse and work-boat PDQ's very much.
Since I do photo-shop boat and automotive mods for others, it entertains me to
experiment with "what ifs" of cat designs. It began as a joke, but now I get
paid for it.
Thanks again for the info.

Larry:
In my 2+ year search for a power cat, the first one I saw was the PDQ
34. Some things I didn't like (sloping door lets in rain, bed doesn't
let my feet hang over, no oven) so I kept looking. Considered
everything on the market and was focusing on the PDQ 41 when the stock
market collapsed and the boat price climbed to $600K+. I circled back
around and wound up with a 2003 PDQ 34 at a very reasonable price.
Real happy with it - - even adjusted to the bed. Cruised FL to MD and
back, then went to the Bahamas for 2 months. Handled seas that kept
others tied to the dock. FYI, I recently saw a 34 for sale in N.J.
for $199k - - the money leftover buys a lot.
