WE HAVE SUNSET THIS LISTSERV - Join us at collectionspace@lyrasislists.org
View all threadsHi all,
I wanted to let everyone know that OMCA and PAHMA are joining forces on a
Conservation Procedure. We've come up with a rough draft of the fields and
behaviors, and would love input from folks, if this looks like something
you might use. This procedure is for treatment, not analysis, though we
also need to find a place for conservation analysis - could be in a
separate procedure, or included as a section on the proposed Conservation
procedure.
This is the link to our draft on a google drive. If you can't access it,
let me know and I can send you an attachment.

Thanks so much for this work! A few questions based on the conservation procedure as recommended by SPECTRUM, and some of the work we've done mapping with local history organizations:
SPECTRUM recommends a "recall date," or date at which the next stage of conservation begins. Is this field useful/necessary? Otherwise, the schema as proposed by OMCA/PAHMA maps well to SPECTRUM.
Our local history map includes fields for cost of treatment, both estimated and actual. On the functional working group, we've been discussing an "invoice" schema extension that could be added to any procedure where invoice information might be captured, the link to that draft schema is: https://wiki.collectionspace.org/download/attachments/154764165/Configuration%20and%20Data%20Map%20-%20Invoice%20Schema%20Extension.xlsx?api=v2. Thoughts?
Thanks again - this looks like an exciting addition to CSpace.

CSpace Community -
Just revisiting this procedure as we're prepping it for inclusion in our next release. Please take a look at the schema and screenshots on the CSpace wiki:

And let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
