Restorative Garden workshop with Daniel Winterbottom October 24, 11 am - 1 pm

Restorative gardens help people reduce stress, enhance energy, improve motor skills and increase self-confidence.

  • Professor Daniel Winterbottom will discuss his work on restorative gardens in Tacoma, Seattle, New York, Guatemala and Bosnia.
  • Find out how, why and where we can create restorative community gardens here in Pierce County.

WHAT: Slide show, group discussion, community garden walk-through and potluck.
Juice, plates, utensils provided - please help reduce waste by bringing a reusable plate & cup.
Please still come if you don't have time to bring a dish!

WHEN: October 24, 11 am - 1 pm

WHERE: Manitou Community Center, 4806 S 66th St, Tacoma, WA 98409 (down the street from Manitou Park & Elementary, on the 53 bus route)
