Because everything has been so crazy this year, I thought that you all might appreciate a reminder about the December 15th date to provide notice of next year's public meetings.  As I am sure you are aware, 25 O.S., Section 311 provides that:

"All public bodies shall give notice in writing by December 15 of each calendar year of the schedule showing the date, time and place of the regularly scheduled meetings of such public bodies for the following calendar year..."

Public bodies handle this in different ways.  One of my City Clerks routinely has the public body approve a Resolution.  I think this is a wonderful way to do it because it is a record that can be provided to and maintained by the Municipal Clerk.  If you need a word version, please let me know and I will send it to you.

Yesterday I had a discussion with long-time municipal attorney David Davis.  He and I reviewed the statutes pertaining to elections and the necessary Resolutions, Proclamations, and Publication Dates and discussed timing for approval.  Below I have included a link from the State Election Board's website that gives you the 2021 Statutory Election Dates and Deadlines.  Hopefully, you will find this information helpful!
