There appear to be a stash of the TV channel 2 1KW amp modules
available. They supposedly work fine on 6M without any tuning, though
you need to add cooling fans, T/R switching, 50V power supply, etc.

The seller is asking $250 each plus shipping. Supposedly you can
parallel a pair of them to get 1.5KW out with high duty cycle (requires
building combiners).

I'm thinking of getting a pair and wonder if any of the MVUS folks have
experience with them, or might want to join in an order.

As some of you may be are aware, I was involved a few years ago in adapting these
high quality surplus amplifiers for use on 6m. Typically, 10 to 15w drive provides 1
kw output power. Information on how to build an effective cooling system and low pass
filter (along with links to all the specifications) are shown on my website:

you want to create a solid state amp capable of 1500w+ continuous output for use on
digital modes.

input/DC power cables with the unique Harris connectors. All you would need to put
these on 6m would be to construct the low pass filters and mount cooling fans on top
