Greetings everyone, A former council member has not been a private citizen for two years now. I am receiving inquiries about utilizing the former member's business as a city vendor. I know so municipal ordinances in other jurisdictions prohibit such relationships for a year or more. I am not aware of any ordinance for the municipality I represent prohibiting such activity. I have not been able to find any state law prohibiting the relationship. So, I am making an inquiry here to cover my bases. Does anyone have any advice or guidance?
