More on the Fair Oaks Pump Station from the SA Biz Journal today.  As Reid indicated earlier, SAWS crews are working to restore the water as quickly as possible.

“At least three pump stations in the San Antonio Water System have experienced temporary outages since rolling blackouts hit the city on Monday, leaving some residents without water.

While it was unclear how many households in the San Antonio area were without water Tuesday, some of the outages may have been caused not by frozen pipes inside residences but by pump stations experiencing temporary outages, SAWS spokeswoman Anne Hayden said.

"Local power shortages have affected SAWS pump stations, and have caused low water pressure or outages in many areas of the city," Hayden told the Business Journal.

At various times since rolling blackouts began Monday, the affected stations have included the Market Street station downtown and Anaqua Springs and Fair Oaks on the Far North Side, though the situation changes hour to hour, Hayden said. It wasn't immediately clear how many customers each of those pump stations services.”

Water outage update. SAWS representative I spoke to yesterday called to let me know they have a crew working on the Pump station that is impacting several neighborhoods that include Limestone Ranch. He let me know this area is a high priority. Although he could not provide a timeline when water problem may be fully resolved, he indicated the crew is working diligently to quickly restore water to our area. The area impacted ranges from Highland to Wincrest and all the way to Balcones Creek. Reid Cain, Vice PresidentLimestone Ranch BoardTom Angotti, PresidentGreg Anderson, Secretary/Treasurer.
