Draw a Mascot
The EnviroChallenger educators have taught Tacoma students all about surface water, wastewater, garbage and recycling and how their daily activities can affect the quality of the earth's ecosystem. Learning the 5 Rs, how to prevent water pollution and measuring their eco-footprint has equipped them to be a better environmental steward, able to help Tacoma be a healthier and happier place to live.
Now, we want them to show us what they've learned by creating a mascot that represents healthy environmental habits. This mascot can be an animal, a person or something they've made up.
Some behaviors they might have their mascot doing are:
Using greener cleaners
Washing a car on the lawn
Keeping storm drains clear of pollution
Recycling
Picking up after a pet
Or any other positive behavior you've learned from the EnviroChallenger educators
All entries must be postmarked by April 8. Please include one entry form with each poster. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.cityoftacoma.org/envirokidshttp://www.cityoftacoma.org/envirokids or requested by phone at (253) 573-2506.
This contest is open to Tacoma students only.
