Call to Artists for Tacoma to Puyallup Regional Trail
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), in partnership with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians (PTOI), is seeking up to three artists or artist teams to develop designs for permanent public art installations along the Tacoma to Puyallup Regional Trail corridor as part of WSDOT's SR 167 Completion Project (project). The Tacoma to Puyallup Regional Trail addresses gaps in the regional trail network by connecting downtown Puyallup to Fife and downtown Tacoma, providing people who live and work in the area with a new option for non-vehicular travel to a wide variety of destinations.

Artists or artist teams that include a member indigenous to the Pacific Northwest Coast, Coast Salish and specifically Puyallup Tribe of Indians, or have experience working with these Tribes, are strongly encouraged to apply. All artists or members of an artist team must be 18 years of age or older and are eligible to work in the United States for the length of the project development and installation.

The application deadline is March 15, 2023.
