View all threadsThe Senate passed their Perkins Career and Technical Education Act reauthorization today -- reportedly by unanimous consent. Called the "Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act,” this is the bill the HELP committee approved late last month. Total surprise to me. As late as Friday of last week, I was asking around and no one knew when it might go to the floor, and no one seemed to know. I guess I wasn’t asking the right people!
As you will recall, the House passed its own CTE bill (which has the same name as the Senate version) last year.
