Following up to Ron Ridout's post this morning. We staked out Long Point's Inner Bay for much of the morning from the Lion's Park in Port Rowan and from various locations along the Long Point Causeway.

As of 1200, we made a reasonable and probably conservative estimate of 130 Little Gulls with only about 6 being first basic individuals. The vast majority were flying west with some lingering at the western edge of the bay where a single high count of 65 was made around 1100.

Other highlights include: Black Tern (1), Forster's Tern (2), Caspian Tern (6), Common Tern (120), Greater Yellowlegs, Peregrine Falcon, and 10-15,000 waterfowl, mostly Redhead and American Wigeon with lower numbers of most other species.

Direction to Long Point can be found on the Long Point Bird Observatory website- www.birdscanada.org/lpbo

Good birding,

Stu
