While checking on the Red-necked Grebe nests in Bronte Harbour Sue and I
spotted a Eurasian Collared-Dove at about 3 PM today (Sunday). We watched
the bird for about 10 minutes before it disappeared from view. We opted to
head home to get the word out rather than try to relocate the bird. The ECD
was seen near the Lighthouse Restaurant (and the grebe nests).

Just prior to seeing the ECD we were surprised to see a young (estimated 2
weeks old) Red-necked Grebe with two adults near the mouth of Bronte Creek.

There are two active grebe nests in the Outer Harbour Marina just east of
the Lighthouse Restaurant.

Directions:    Exit the QEW at Bronte Rd. (Oakville) and go to the lake.
