Here's the latest word from Ben Gray aboard Idlewild:
Really loved the Mackenzie, 2350 miles so far, we're in Tuk now and
leaving Friday. Its been cold here and ice still a challenge. We'll
give it a try and hope for warmer weather.

I've been fortunate to see parts of the Northwest Passage--from the
air and from land--four times, and I got to tell you, it's one
special place. Even in summer, there's the smell of Arctic in the
air, clean and cold. It makes the nostrils tingle.
