Hello,
Tahoma Audubon, the Pierce County chapter of Audubon has numerous volunteer
opportunities available including participating on volunteer-run committees
such as banquet, fundraising, conservation, finance, membership, and
education. You may know that we are about birds, but did you know that we
are also, and most importantly, about habitat conservation of threatened
habitats in Pierce County?
Volunteer and internship opportunities can be catered to student/volunteer
needs, as well. As a local grassroots organization with over 1,300
members, we rely on volunteers! If you are interested in helping or
learning about teaching, fundraising, event planning, grant research or
writing, lobbying, policy analysis, volunteer recruitment or management,
habitat restoration, sponsorships, outreach, curriculum development, camps,
youth or adult education, marketing or nonprofit management - we may have
something for you!
Visit our website for more information, stop by our office or call Paulette
at 253-565-9129 or email ppeterson@tahomaaudubon.org.
Additionally, we are currently recruiting 3-4 new board members (volunteer
positions) to join us starting in February 2013 to serve 3 year terms. A
link to the board member position description and other opportunities is on
our website here: http://tahomaaudubon.org/Default.aspx?pageId=1209396. If
you are interested in becoming a board member, then I would love to talk
with you!
