Tacoma Arts Community, Tonight we present the final music performance for the 2024-25 academic year. Our concert features the TCC Symphonic Band, and guest ensemble BD Winds. BD Winds is conducted by Dr. Kaitlin Bove, who previously taught at Pierce college. ABOUT BDWINDS Since 1996, the BDWinds has served as a destination ensemble for Bay Area musicians ages 14-22. Every August through May, BD Winds develops a unique artistic experience for wind and percussion students, letting melodies blossom in the hands of our young virtuosos. The BDWinds supplements school music programs with a challenging set of repertoire and expert pedagogy, enhancing every student's musical journey at our weekly rehearsals and numerous performances. Members flourish, learning from masterclasses led by skilled professionals, performing alongside renowned international soloists, and taking chances with leadership and conducting opportunities. Formerly named the Diablo Wind Symphony, the BDWinds is entering an exciting era of growth and change!
