See attached for details and the link to sign on. PLEASE encourage your state affiliates and local chapters to sign on as well!

  2. ESEA:
    a.    We prepared the attached charts that list all the programs authorized in the Alexander draft ESEA bill along with a comparison of the authorized versus the appropriated levels. The bill sets the FY 16 and beyond yearly total authorized level at the current appropriation level for ESEA programs, but since it doesn’t include I3, it's really $120 million below current K12 funding.

b.    The first HELP hearing is scheduled for Jan. 21 at 10 am in 430 Dirksen: Fixing No Child Left Behind: Testing and Accountability http://www.help.senate.gov/hearings/hearing/?id=1ad5f642-5056-a032-52f2-57297bf23f2b.  The Committee plans two additional hearings tentatively on January 27 and February 3 and hopes to markup by the end  of February.
