Iron Man Lake Placid Volunteers - Need Your Input - ASAP!

Gators who are volunteering, I need your input.  For those of you that
don't know, accommodations are hard to come by.

I have been working with the NSA (National Sports Academy) where a bunch of
us stayed last year on rooms and rates.  Until we have a firm commitment, I
cannot push for further discounts, and they are getting other inquiries, so
we need to move FAST!

Here's what you get.  Dorm room type lodging, bring your own linens,
pillows, towels.  Bunk beds in each room, some sleep 4 (1 bath), some sleep
6 (2 bath).  Those that sleep 6 have an upstairs and have 2 bathrooms.

You also get breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is great, and the location
cannot be beat for spectators (think access to bathroom, shelter, and next
to the brew pub, on the lake by the swim start, exit, and right near
transition).

Rates:  $375/night for 2 people per room.  Each additional person per room
is $25/night.  So, 4 people to a room is $425/night.  3 night minimum.

(The rate is $375.00 per night (double occupancy) with a 3 night minimum
stay. There is a $25 per person charge for reservations with more than 2
people. Linens and towels are not provided. In addition to lodging, your
reservation includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We require a
non-refundable one night deposit to confirm your stay with us during the
event. The deposit is due no later thanApril 1st and the remaining balance
would be due by June 1st. )

Below is the list of people I thought we had volunteering.  I'm assuming
some of you will bunk up with others, so if you can all pick your partners
and get back to me ASAP, and confirm you will be going, I can try to help
coordinate this and get back to them with more of a concrete number.

IMLP VOLUNTEER LIST  - If you are not on here, and want to be, put your
name down, and all pertinent info.  If you don't need lodging, please put
in zero, or let me know.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one who is remedial here, but I reached out to
Byron and got some clarification on how the rates break down when you put
more people in a room so I was 100% clear:

Price / Night Price / Person /Night Total for 3 Nights  Single Room with 1
person $375 $375 $1,125  Single Room with 2 people $375 $187.50 $562.50  Single
Room with 3 people $400 $133.33 $400.00  Single Room with 4 people $425 $106.25
$318.75
I'm not sure if this keeps going for up to the six person rooms, but if it
does it gets even cheaper.

With this said, I like to spend my money on things that matter, like fancy
bike components and beer, so I'm all for rooming up with as many people as
I can to reduce my costs.  Looking over the list, I see some some folks who
might be looking for roommates. If any of you want to share a room, send me
an email asap and I'll get a list of folks who are willing that we can sort
out and come up with the final room tally that is needed, which is what
Byron needs.

Thanks,
Chris
