Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsSteve Lagoy,
A few years back, I lived on my boat on the Erie Canal, and still operated
my business. Once each week, my employees would fedex me a fat envelope
addressed to a nearby canal lock or lift bridge and the operators would
hold them for me. And a number of local folks that I became friends with
also left me letters with lock operators. I thought that arrangement was
rather cool, and it made all the difference for me.

We plan to embark in July on a two month "Little Loop" cruise (Hudson
River, Erie Canal, Rideau, etc.). First really extended cruise for us. What
have you experienced loopers found to be the best way to receive mail while
cruising? Thanks.
