11/22 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 10am-12noon. High tide receding, overcast-rain ending. 45F. Lots of pre-holiday visitors at the center- some from Texas, Pennsylvania and New York. On the marsh: 4 Buffleheads, 10 "peeps" gave a fast fly-by, 6 Mute swans. On the grounds: 2 vocal Mockingbirds, 4 American Robins, 6 House finches at feeders, 6 Mourning doves, about 100 Starlings in the trees and some feeding on the shore of the marsh as the tide receded, 14 House sparrows, 1 Northern Cardinal, 1 Golden Crowned kinglet, 3 White throated sparrows.
