03/08/15 - Bridgeport, St Mary's by the Sea -- Tufted Duck found in
flock of scaup by Tim Antonaides. The bird was close to shore but hard
to pick out. Also at least 6 Redhead, and the hybrid Goldeneye
continues.

03/08/15 - Bridgeport, Captain's Cove -- 4:20 PM; Tufted Duck.

03/08/15 - Norwalk, 14 acre pond -- 7:00 AM; drake Northern Shoveler.
Westport, Burying Hill Beach -- 8:45 AM; drake Redhead continues in
creek.

03/08/15 - Bridgeport, St Mary's by the Sea -- In search of the
Barrow's Goldeneye, we relocated a drake HYBRID Goldeneye.

03/08/15 - Westport, Winslow Park -- 20 PINE SISKINS (in a group of
around 50 American Goldfinch).

03/08/15 - Fairfield, yard -- From one (lifer) Pine Siskin a month ago
to a gang of over 20 on a daily basis.

03/08/15 - Harwinton, yard -- at the feeder, 1 male Common Redpoll in
with 6 Pine Siskin.  Also 1 Common Raven.
Torrington, Torrington plaza -- Black Vulture going North.

03/08/15 - Stratford, Lordship Boulevard/Access Rd -- Adult male
Rough-legged Hawk near the corner of Access Rd/Lordship Boulevard
intersection, 50 yards west.  As of 2:35.

03/08/15 - Stamford, 1128 Cove Road -- Dickcissel has returned to
feeders.  On the ground under the big feeder close to old christmas
tree  3:15 PM Sunday. Visible from driveway.

03/08/15 - Niantic, yard -- 1 Common Redpoll, FIRST time I ever saw
one! It is a Lifer for me!

03/08/15 - Westport, Sherwood Island SP -- Juv White-crowned Sparrow,
2 Fox Sparrows under the feeder by the nature center at 4:35 PM.

03/08/15 - Fairfield -- As of 4:25, there were 10 Black Vultures (and
15 Turkey Vultures) circling over parking lot at Trader Joe's in
Fairfield.  Minutes later, 10-15 of them flew into trees on Stilson
Road.  They were in conifers on the edge of the parking lot.  These
birds allowed great views through scope as well as pictures.

better viewed from Canal Street Eclisse Restaurant on the other side.
Shippan -- one female Barrow's Goldeneye in same location to the
right.

factory -- Peregrine Falcon.

03/08/15 - Norwich, at the Cathedral -- Got out of my car on Broadway
and immediately noticed a Turkey Vulture on a roof.  As I looked
around I could see nearly every house on the street had a Vulture on
it's chimney, warming itself.  Some were Black Vultures, some were
Turkey Vultures. Pulled out my binoculars and could see many more in
the tall pine trees. Don't know if this is a regular occurance but it
gave great close looks at the heads of the two diffent types.
