04/29/2011 Buff-breasted Sandpiper

04/29/11 - East Hartford, Cabela's -- the Buff-breasted Sandpiper was
around at 5 PM or so, feeding actively the whole time I was there. For
reasons Greg has already stated in a CTBirds post yesterday, this is a
fantastic bird for the location and time of year.

04/29/11 - East Hartford, Cabela's -- the Buff-breasted Sandpiper
continued at 12:15pm.

04/29/11 - East Hartford, Cabela's -- the Buff-breasted Sandpiper
continues this morning along with a smattering of other shorebirds,
including a Dunlin.

-- around 2:30 PM,  YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER, 3-4 BLACKBURNIAN
WARBLERS.

nest with at least two nestlings.

including 1 BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER.

04/29/11 -Waterford, Stenger Farm -- 2 BROWN THRASHERS and an odd
Golden-winged x Blue-winged Warbler mix; a male with yellow wing bars
but yellow chest and belly and wider black eye-line than a
blue-winged.  It most closely resembled the "rare hybrid variant
adult" in Sibley at the bottom of p 428 though without a true partial
mask.
Mystic yard -- PURPLE FINCH - first one in a bit.
