The Pierce Conservation District is featuring 29 species of plants native to Western Washington as well as plastic tree tubes and spray on repellent to protect the seedlings from deer, rodent, and grass trimmer damage. Species include 6-24 inch conifers such as western red cedar, douglas fir, and noble fir, 10-12" deciduous trees such as pacific crabapple, paper birch, and bitter cherry, ground covers such as kinnikinnick, coastal strawberry, and salal, and a number of favorite wildlife species such as; evergreen huckleberry, mock orange, red flowering currant, and many more.

Pre-orders will be taken until January 18, 2013. Plant materials will be available for pick up March 1 and 2, 2013 at the PCD office in Puyallup. Prices range from $6 - $20 per bundle of five to ten plants. Gift certificates available. All pre-order customers who order by December 31 are automatically entered to win a rain barrel!
