I am a retired US Naval Officer. I drove Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers, and Aircraft Carriers during my military career so I have a good deal of ship driving experience but little to no boating experience. I am passionate about the ocean, being at sea, and boating. I look forward to enjoying it from a civilian, pleasure boaters perspective. I joined the group hoping to learn more about power catamarans as I look toward purchasing my first boat soon. I was drawn to this type of craft because of it's stability and safety as my wife and children are not as comfortable on the high seas as I. My interest includes all information from deciding on the most appropriate make and model; maintenance and upkeep expectations and challenges; best bang for my buck; and good mechanics for those jobs beyond my experience; to the friendliest marinas to visit while transiting different areas..., you name it and I want to know about it!
