I am putting this on eBay where iPads of this configuration are selling around the price I am asking. It has spent its life in a Apple soft case which is included ($39) and has a Zagg nonglare screen attached since birth (removable) and another $30 or so add on cost. It has been used for navigation and travel, but carefully shielded by the accessories mentioned above. It has ios5 upgraded but will be wiped clean to original factory software settings (easy to do). I offer it here at a fair price before ebaying it, to boaters i might know at the risk that you might be unhappy for some reason but i doubt that you will. You also know who you bought it from. I bought a new iPad 2 primarily to run some financial software. The iPad 1 is perfectly fine for all boating tasks, especially for navigation. The $450 price is for a unit that cost $729 originally. It comes with the original box, charger, cable and the add on Apple soft case and the Zagg plastic no scratch screen which is easily removable if you do not like it.
