NOTE: The radar was quite active with birds shortly after dark.

From Patrick Comins with Bill Asteriades:
08/18/12 - Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows -- morning; 7 American
Golden-Plovers.  At the little wetland where the road curves to the
north on the way in to the meadows, 1 DICKCISSEL in the tall grass
along with approximately 250 Bobolinks.  The field is located on Great
Meadow Road near the bend which leads to the entrance by the ferry
(1/2 mile south of where the Stilt Sandpiper was seen).  Also in the
same location, a LARK BUNTING.
Several birders searched for the Lark Bunting during the afternoon
unsuccessfully.

08/18/12 - Stratford, Sikorsky Airport -- 10:30 AM; American Golden
Plover on the first lot.

08/18/12 - Westport, Sherwood Island SP -- 1 Pectoral Sandpiper at the
rotary area just after the entrance.
Stratford, Sikorsky Airport -- American Golden Plover continues in the
first parking area just after the rotary and in front of the "Three
Wing" building as of 1:47pm

08/18/12 - Colebrook, Colebrook Reservior -- 7:15-9:15 AM; Mourning
Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper.

08/18/12 - Norwalk -- several COMMON NIGHTHAWKS flying over my house,
in small groups, one numbering 11 birds but most less.

08/18/12 - Waterbury, Republican-American newspaper -- 5 COMMON
NIGHTHAWKS flying around lighted tower c 9:30 PM.

08/18/12 - Old Lyme, Griswold Pt -- 3:00 PM; 1 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER
and 2 WHIMBREL.
