Took 8am ferry out of New London this morning. Overcast and light wind made
for good visibility on way out but fog and rain made thing tougher on
return. No remarkable birds in CT waters but a careful estimate of 1,600
Common Eider is by far the most I have ever seen in CT. Many adult males.
In New York waters notable was a King Eider (Orient Point harbor) and a
