One question: all boats I know eventually suffer from glazing leaks. But

this one (which is generally very well built) shows signs of heroic efforts
being made to seal the large house windows. Do cats, with their large open
spaces and two hulls, simply work more than conventional vessels, such that
this leaking is more prevalent? What's the solution? Possibly older-style,
more flexible, caulking materials? Any suggestions?

Brian responded:
Yes absolutely. VERY often there is not enough attention paid to proper
bulkheads in these vessel in search of maximum 'open' living space. This can
be good for live-aboard comfort, but dangerous offshore when you need
something to grab onto rather than bouncing around the wide open spaces.

Window glacing is a particular problem with many trials as to the ideal
solution)s). I might suggest you visit BoatDesign.net forums and utilize the
'search tool' for related subject matter. there is also a multihull forum at
http://steamradio.com/pipermail/multihulls/ where this subject has come up
on a number of occassions....maybe you could use the Google search tool to
look thru these archives.
