Still LOTS of room in these classes. Over half the cost of a
pre-assembled barrel! Great emergency water for those on a well when the
power goes out!

Rain Water Collection for the Home

Sponsored by the Pierce Conservation District

Class Site Provided by the Sound Policy Institute at the University of
Puget Sound

March 19 and April 11, 6-8 p.m.

Tacoma

Dan Borba from Down to Earth Gadgets and Gizmos is back to guide class
participants through assembly of their very own rain barrel - a great
water conservation tool to be used this summer when the rains decrease,
but irrigation demands increase.  Uses for collected rain water and
instructions on how to set up and connect multiple barrels will be
given.  To make the grant from the Chambers-Clover Creek Watershed
Council go further, each barrel and assembly kit is $35, although those
not making a barrel are welcome to come at no cost.  Each class is
limited to 25 participants.  Pre-registration is required by calling
(253) 845-9770 x 106 or emailing renes@piercecountycd.org.
